FAQs

I’ve never been to therapy, what can I expect?

Therapy is different for everyone. Some come to therapy because feelings of anxiety and depression have become unmanageable. Some come to therapy looking to dig deeper into past experiences, gather a better understanding of their childhood and family system or past and current relationships. Sometimes we deeply want to change, but are not sure how we’re supposed to get there. Therapy is a tool that helps you gain insight into yourself, to better understand who you are, what you want and the best way to get there. Sometimes we just need someone to talk to and sometimes we’re scared to make changes alone. Therapy can help you feel stronger, more empowered and confident in who you are. Whether it be relationship issues, communication issues, family conflict, or just wanting more for yourself, together we can create lasting change and help build the life you want.

What is a free consultation like?

An initial consultation is normally around 15-25 minute chat where you are able to learn a little bit more about how I work, share your thoughts and feelings and why you’re coming to therapy. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to effective therapy, and I want to make sure this is the right fit. During our chat, I will learn a little about you while telling you how I work. You can see if this is the right vibe and decide if you want to begin therapy together. During our call, I can answer any questions or concerns you have about therapy (including fee, timing, my approach, your goals, and more).

Where are you located?

I see clients virtually all across Los Angeles (including West Los Angeles, East side and the Valley). While also working with many clients via tele-health across all of California. I am a fully remote therapist and for the time being, am only offering sessions with clients online via secure tele-health.

Will our conversations be confidential?

Yes, everything we talk about is completely confidential. Confidentiality is an incredibly important part of therapy and the client-therapist relationship. Success in therapy requires a sense of trust and connection and as a therapist, maintaining confidentiality is an incredibly important component of our work together. The only time a therapist can ever break confidentiality is in the rare case that is is legally mandated.
